Motueka Stakeholders Workshop notes
A workshop with invited stakeholders from the Motueka community was held on 26 April to discuss ideas to feed into the next 10-Year Plan for Tasman.
Overall Summary
Key themes were:
- Youth hub/facility – a need for there to be more for youth to do
- Swimming pool
- Housing - working with the community to help create more affordable housing - homelessness and affordability are issues
- More protection from natural hazards for the East side of town
- Better engagement with council/clarity on plans - local facilitator was a popular idea
- Climate change is a big challenge for Motueka
- Public transport - would like to see more services and better connections
